Armenia's approaches only sometimes receive an adequate response from Azerbaijan. Mirzoyan to Raymond de Rony

On February 7, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan met in The Hague with the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the Netherlands Parliament, Raymond de Rohn, and committee members representing the majority of the parliamentary parties.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia noted that Armenia is proceeding on the path of democratic reforms, as a result of which the current achievements have also been reflected in relevant international indicators.

Touching upon the security situation in the South Caucasus, Minister Mirzoyan presented to the parliamentarians the vision of RA in establishing stability and peace in the region and the efforts made in that direction. The minister noted that RA's constructive approaches only sometimes receive an adequate response, emphasizing the need for Azerbaijan to show appropriate political will and transparent commitment. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the critical principles in regulating Armenia-Azerbaijani relations, including the importance of unconditional respect for territorial integrity and the indivisibility of borders.

In the context of unblocking regional transport and economic channels, Ararat Mirzoyan noted that the four principles of sovereignty, jurisdiction, reciprocity, and equality, which are essential to RA, were best reflected in the "Crossroads of Peace" program developed by the RA government, which was presented and received the attention of international partners.

The head of the RA foreign political department also answered the questions of the parliamentarians of the Netherlands regarding regional developments, addressing the rights and needs of Armenians forcibly displaced as a result of ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh, strengthening the RA-EU partnership, and issues of mutual interest.

At the meeting, the willingness to further deepen cooperation between Armenia and the Netherlands, including at the level of parliamentarians and in the RA-EU format, was emphasized to support stability in the region and ensure the well-being of RA citizens.
