"Not only the Czech Republic but also all our international partners should apply as much pressure as possible to bring peace to the region," announced NA Speaker Alen Simonyan at a joint press conference with the Speaker of the Czech Parliament, Marketa Pekarova Adamova.
According to him, Armenia has repeatedly come forward to establish lasting peace in the region. "But our neighboring country does not stand out so much, and the international community must react to all the steps aimed at destroying that peace," he said.
Simonyan pointed out that Azerbaijan repeatedly refused meetings. "I have the impression that Azerbaijan is taking a special time to complete the peace process if, in case of political desire, I do not see any drastic reason that could prevent the implementation of the peace agreement based on the agreed principles."
Marketa Pekarova Adamova also said that the goal of the Czech Republic is to have prosperous, peaceful countries. "For the Czech Republic, the goal is to have two prosperous, peaceful countries. We fully support the sovereignty of these countries. Still, at the same time, the best framework would be to support the countries at the international level within the framework of international cooperation. Our next visit is to Baku, and we will show our support to the Armenian people," he said.
