The expansion of small farms in Armenia was discussed with the president of IFAD
President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) President Alvaro Lario during the Davos Economic Forum. Both sides appreciated the decades of practical cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Foundation during the meeting.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of expanding and developing the activities of small farms in Armenia. Efforts aimed at the implementation of high-tech agriculture and the implementation of innovative programs in the field were highlighted by both sides.
At the meeting, ideas were also exchanged on establishing the agricultural insurance system and expanding its application. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to make efforts to strengthen and promote further cooperation.
