Any violation of Armenia's territorial integrity by Baku will have serious consequences. EU Spokesperson

The European Union conveys clear messages to Azerbaijan that any violation of Armenia's territorial integrity by that country is unacceptable and will have severe consequences for EU-Azerbaijan relations.

In response to the question of the "Armenpress" reporter in Brussels, EU foreign relations spokesman Peter Stano said this, referring to the recent statements of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev containing territorial ambitions and threats to Armenia.

"We have been in close contact with the leadership of Armenia and Azerbaijan, tirelessly repeating our support for both countries' sovereignty and territorial integrity and solving problems exclusively peacefully. Our lines of communication remain open. The EU uses every opportunity to convey clear messages to Azerbaijan that any violation of Armenia's territorial integrity is unacceptable and will have serious consequences for our relations. We remain firm in this position. President of the European Council Charles Michel, High Representative Josep Borrell, and EU Special Representative Toivo Klaar continue their involvement in establishing a stable and lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan," said Stano.
