The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan complained about the report of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Council of Europe

The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan complained about the report of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Council of Europe following the results of his visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"Unfortunately, the report refers to the so-called blockade of the Lachine road, which is far from reality and has not been recognized by the International Court of Justice (ICJ)," the statement said.

The Azerbaijani side has again claimed that it has presented evidence of alleged systematic abuse of the Lachin road by Armenia over the past three years, which violated the tripartite declaration of November 10, 2020, and international law.

"Finally, it is important to note that Azerbaijan has invited the Commissioner to visit the region, expecting him to make remarks based on neutrality, impartiality, equality, and the universality of all human rights. Noting the results of the visit, Azerbaijan emphasizes that the Commissioner's observations lack complete fairness and impartiality," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
