The US embassy in Armenia did not deny that Baku refused to receive Louis Bono, the senior adviser of the US Secretary of State for Caucasian negotiations.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani media wrote that Baku refused to receive Louis Bono, the senior adviser of the US Secretary of State for Caucasian negotiations, because he does not accept the settlement approaches put forward by the US in the region and does not see the US as a reliable mediator.
Radar Armenia sent a request to the US Embassy in Armenia to find out how the United States interprets this move from the Azerbaijani side.
"L. Bono, Senior Adviser on Caucasus Negotiations, frequently visits the region to discuss US support for the peace process and ways to achieve a lasting and dignified peace. Mr. Bono regularly meets with key stakeholders in Armenia and Azerbaijan to support the peace process. We are ready to help with any process that will bring peace and stability to the people of the South Caucasus," said the US Embassy's response.
