"On the morning of January 5, I visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Yerevan to express our condolences regarding the recent terrorist attack in Kerman, Iran." Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"On this occasion, I conveyed the deep sympathy of the Armenian government to the people of Iran and the families affected by this tragedy. Emphasizing common values and mutual understanding between the two peoples, I emphasized Armenia's position against terrorism in all its forms," the minister wrote, stressing that the ambassador and representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomed this gesture of solidarity.
"During the dialogue, the importance of international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and maintaining regional security was emphasized. The bilateral commitment to strengthen relations and work together towards peace and stability in the region was reaffirmed during the meeting. This visit of mine to the Iranian embassy was an important step to demonstrate Armenia's support to Iran in a difficult period, strengthening the long-lasting friendship between the two countries," said Kerobyan.
