Matthew Miller on the expulsion of Christian Armenians from the Armenian quarter of Jerusalem

The US Secretary of State's spokesman, Matthew Miller, said that there was no concrete answer to the question: "The leaders of the Armenian neighborhood of Jerusalem have expressed deep concern that the Israeli government is using the conflict in the Gaza Strip to evict a large number of Christian Armenians from the Armenian neighborhood."
"As we have stated many times, we do not want the Israeli government to take any step that could lead to the escalation of tension," he said.
