Ararat Mirzoyan and the president of the International Crisis Group discussed the situation in the region

On December 18, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan received the Chairman of the International Crisis Group, Comfort Arrow. During the meeting, ideas were exchanged on issues related to regional security.

Minister Mirzoyan referred to RA's approaches to establishing stability and lasting peace in the South Caucasus, regulating relations with neighbors, and the latest developments in regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the fundamental principles underlying RA's position:

Mutual recognition of territorial integrity.
Ensuring the demarcation process based on the latest maps of the USSR.
Unblocking regional channels under sovereignty and jurisdiction with the principles of equality and reciprocity.

Thoughts were exchanged on the situation created by Azerbaijan's ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh, including issues related to addressing the needs and rights of the more than 100,000 forcibly displaced Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the importance of interaction with international partners interested in the stability of the South Caucasus.
