The official visit of RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan to the Republic of Greece started on December 14 with a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of the Unknown Soldier in front of the country's parliament.
Afterward, a solemn welcoming ceremony was held at the Ministry of National Defense of Greece with the participation of an honor guard and a military band.
After the ceremony, the meeting between RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and Greek National Defense Minister Nikolaos Dendias started. During the meeting, issues related to Armenian-Greek defense cooperation were discussed.
Both sides noted the great potential for the development of cooperation, and an agreement was reached to develop it with new momentum, including military-technical, experience exchange, educational, training, tactical preparation, and other directions.
At the end of the meeting, the defense ministers of Armenia and Greece signed the agreement "On military-technical cooperation between the government of the Republic of Armenia and the government of the Republic of Greece". Defense ministers made a joint statement to the press.
