"The fundamental issues of November 9 were not implemented." Member of Parliament

Sargis Khandanyan, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly, stated that the principle points of the November 9 statement regarding the security of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh were not implemented, they were disrupted, and legitimate questions and concerns arose here. He reminded that the guarantor of that statement was the Russian Federation.

"There is a certain logic and process of negotiation. The negotiations mustn't return to zero again. The Armenian side is always ready for negotiations. "Azerbaijan avoids it," he said.

NA KP faction secretary Artur Hovhannisyan added that trust comes from reality. "Regarding the platforms, we noted that the primary thing for Armenia is that the principles are preserved on the platforms where the negotiations will take place. The principles, let me remind you, are the recognition of territorial integrity and the unblocking of roads based on the principle of sovereignty. If these principles are observed, we do not separate the platforms," he said.

Hovhannisyan answered, "Doesn't it mean that RA is pushing Russia out of the issue of regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations?" "We are not pushing anyone out of any place. If some partners are pushed out or do not participate in any conversation during the processes, it cannot be commented that we are pushing them out."
