The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.
As Shalva Papuashvili writes on her Facebook page, several issues were discussed at the meeting, including the events in the region.
"I had a productive meeting with Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia. We talked about the events taking place in the region. About the importance of reaching a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. I mentioned that Georgia will always be ready to contribute to regional peace. We focused on the growing importance of the "Middle Corridor" and the opportunities to diversify the economy. Armen Grigoryan congratulated Georgia on receiving a positive recommendation from the European Commission regarding the status of a candidate for EU membership," wrote Shalva Papuashvili.
