President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation headed by Jorge Knoblovici, the head of the delegation of Jewish associations in Argentina, at the presidential residence. Welcoming the guest, the president emphasized that such visits are an additional stimulus for deepening Armenian-Argentinian friendly relations.
The President of the Republic also, in the person of Jorge Knoblovitz, thanked the organization for its active activity in the recognition of the Armenian Genocide. In his speech, Vahagn Khachaturyan highlighted the delegation's activities in combating anti-Semitism, discrimination, and xenophobia and establishing inter-religious dialogue, stressing the great potential for cooperation in this field.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, Jorge Knoblowitz noted that he is happy to visit Armenia and stressed that his organization cooperates with the Armenian Embassy in Argentina and the Argentinian Armenian community.
During the meeting, the issues of further rapprochement of Armenian-Argentine relations were discussed, including the prospects of promoting interaction between the two countries' business circles. The need to ensure democratic values, including the protection of human rights, the rule of law, and free and transparent elections, was reaffirmed on both sides.
In his speech, President Vahagn Khachaturyan referred to the situation in the region and the details of the peace agenda. He also emphasized that Armenia is steadily moving forward toward implementing democratic reforms.
