The Speaker of the RA National Assembly received the delegation led by the head of the Estonia-Armenia friendship group, Mati Raidma.
RA NA Speaker noted that Armenia attaches great importance to friendly relations with Estonia based on mutual trust, shared democratic values, and respect for human rights.
He emphasized that democratic Armenia attaches great importance to the efforts of the European Union aimed at establishing peace in the region, stressing that we are grateful to Estonia for the humanitarian support provided to our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
Issues related to democracy and establishment of democratic institutions were discussed at the meeting. "Dear partners, despite all the challenges, we continue to adhere to our agenda to achieve peace, an important part of which is the "Crossroads of Peace" project presented by the RA government as a tool for establishing peace and promoting economic ties in the region," the RA NA Speaker emphasized. :
Estonian partners have noticed that no one can understand the other as well as small countries, and our pain and raised issues are not alien to them.
At the meeting, the development of the ways outlined as a result of the visit of the friendly group and a number of other agenda issues were discussed.
