According to the 2024 state budget draft, more than 95 percent of the money allocated to the office of the President of RA will be spent on the representative expenses of the President, and 4.8 percent will be spent on improving the technical equipment of the office.
Khachatur Poghosyan, Deputy Head of the President's Office, also reported that the budget request of 1 billion, 771 million, and 633 thousand drams was submitted to the staff for 2 events and one program planned for next year. "Our program is a budget for equipment maintenance and service," he said.
Poghosyan also noted that about 82 million drams will be allocated to purchase new network equipment and telecommunication systems for the staff.
Among the events of 2024, he singled out the preparations for awarding 115 decrees of RA citizenship, pardoning 5 convicts, and awarding medals and awards to 295 people.
He also assured that "our activity is aimed at being perceived by the public as a non-political, stable, authoritative, professional, reliable institutional structure and an important link to strategic initiatives."
