Canada will continue to stand by the ethnic Armenian people of Nagorno-Karabakh and their right to a safe return. Melanie Joly

Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly met with forcibly displaced women from Nagorno Karabakh and wrote about it on her "X" microblog.
"It was important for me to hear and learn from ethnic Armenian women who fled Nagorno Karabakh. Their strength and courage moved me. Canada will continue to stand by the ethnic Armenian people of Nagorno-Karabakh and their right to a safe return," the post says.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada also met with civil society representatives and discussed issues related to the humanitarian crisis. Issues related to ensuring regional peace and security and strengthening democratic institutions were also discussed.
