At the press conference with his Hungarian counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, announced that for dignified peace in the South Caucasus, it is vital to exclude the use of force and xenophobic politics.
"We have already witnessed their manifestations. Just one month ago, the policy of ethnic cleansing was completed in Nagorno-Karabakh; more than 100 thousand Armenians had to be forcibly displaced to save their lives, left their historical homeland, and, as refugees, found refuge in Armenia," said Mirzoyan.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, lasting peace in the region requires the commitment and active steps of all the region's countries and the rejection of extreme aspirations. "It is possible if there is an unequivocal recognition of each other's territorial integrity and the delimitation of the borders of the two countries is carried out," he emphasized.
