The EU's equal distance strategy towards Armenia and Azerbaijan has failed. Michael Roth, the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the German Bundestag, wrote about this on his X page.
"We must impose sanctions on Azerbaijan after Baku's ethnic cleansing in Karabakh, support Armenia with a broad aid package, and strengthen the EU mission," he wrote.
