The Ambassador of France to Armenia spoke about his visits to the border areas

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, Olivier Decotigny, at the presidential residence.

Welcoming the ambassador, the president thanked him for his active activity and, on behalf of the ambassador, the government and people of France for their support to Armenia in the context of the current realities.

Ambassador Olivier Dekotini thanked the receptionist and presented his impressions of his recent visits to the border areas of Armenia.

Various issues related to further strengthening and continuous development of Armenian-French multi-layered relations were discussed during the meeting. Thoughts were exchanged on the activities of the European Union civilian observation mission in Armenia and its essential role.

Both sides emphasized the importance of the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia and the need to establish a stable and lasting peace in the region and take consistent steps in this direction. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue influential working contacts.
