More than 3,000 forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh have left Armenia. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at the government session.
He did not rule out that these people may have visited their relatives abroad, but he prioritized staying in Armenia, not emigrating.
"We are doing everything to support them. If there is no de facto desire or opportunity to return to Nagorno-Karabakh, our policy is to do everything for them to stay in Armenia. I call on our brothers and sisters forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh not to consider emigration from Armenia as a plan for future actions. We have allocated more than 100 million dollars. We will do various programs, but in the medium term, our programs will not be separate but will be equally available to those forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and other citizens of Armenia," he said.
