"More than 100,000 Armenians left their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh in 1 week due to the inaction of the Russian peacekeeping troops." announced the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
According to him, another 20,000 were forced to leave Nagorno-Karabakh immediately after the 44-day war, and some did not have the opportunity to return to Nagorno-Karabakh due to the illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor.
"I do not accept the surprised faces of some international officials on the occasion of the depopulation of Nagorno-Karabakh in September," he said, reminding that he himself raised the alarm about the danger of depopulation of Nagorno-Karabakh since December 2022, when Azerbaijan closed the Lachin checkpoint.
