Mirzoyan and Klaar discussed issues related to Armenian-Azerbaijani relations
On October 12, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan received Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia. Issues related to the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan were discussed at the meeting.
Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized the need to exclude any encroachment, use of force, and threat of force against RA sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the need to continue the negotiation process in line with the key messages of the statement adopted as a result of the quadrilateral meeting held in Granada on October 5.
The interlocutors referred to the forced displacement of more than 100 thousand people of Nagorno Karabakh; the situation created as a result of actual ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh, the need to address the rights of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh and the existing humanitarian problems.
