RA Deputy Foreign Minister highly appreciated the moral position of the European Parliament
On October 12, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the delegation led by Viola von Kramon-Tobadel, a European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs member.
The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the moral position of the European Parliament in matters of primary importance for the Armenian side, emphasizing the resolution on "the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh after the attack of Azerbaijan" adopted on October 5, which strongly condemned the pre-planned and unjustified actions by Azerbaijan against the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh. Military attack.
Paruyr Hovhannisyan thoroughly presented to the interlocutors the situation created as a result of the forced displacement of more than 100 thousand of our fellow citizens as a result of the ethnic cleansing policy implemented by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh and, in this context, expressed gratitude for the humanitarian support provided by the European Union and EU member states.
The parties discussed several other issues of the RA-EU partnership agenda, including inter-parliamentary cooperation. Reference was made to regional security issues.
