Why didn't Azerbaijan come to Granada and sign the document?

Granada gave us 2 critical statements: the quadripartite statement and our bilateral statement with Ursula von der Leyen. It was recorded that there is a consensus regarding the deepening of the EU's relations with the Republic of Armenia. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on the air of the Public Television Company.

"In Granada, the use of force by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh, the forced displacement of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh was condemned, and the readiness of the EU and the USA to support Armenia was noted. It was recorded that the EU is ready to deepen relations with Armenia as much as Armenia wants," Pashinyan said.

And why didn't Azerbaijan come and sign? Azerbaijan's public explanation is that they have a problem with France's position, the prime minister noted.

"The second interpretation, which will be an opportunity to be verified shortly, is that Azerbaijan is trying to prevent peace from happening. Several topics can be used for further exacerbations and escalation," said the Prime Minister.
