"We are not discussing the issue of whether to stay the border guard troops of the Russian Federation and the 102nd military base." prime minister

If the Russian peacekeepers leave, it is of no fundamental importance for Armenia whether they will go through Armenia or Azerbaijan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on the public air.

"There is no legal basis and justification for their stay in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and there cannot be," said the Prime Minister.

Referring to the issue of the Russian border guard troops and the 102nd military base staying in Armenia, the Prime Minister noted that the grounds for their stay are apparent; they continue to exist, and RA and the Russian Federation do not raise such a question. "Not all problems are interconnected," Pashinyan said.

He also spoke about the upcoming meeting in Brussels.

"The principles were recorded in Granada, on the EU platform. The Brussels meeting should take place within the framework of these principles. When Azerbaijan tries to offer another platform, it wants to cancel the already agreed principles," said the Prime Minister.
