The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, preparing for the tripartite meeting with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Brussels, called the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
"I have expressed the EU's commitment to regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. We reaffirmed the need for mutual respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty and the need for progress towards border demarcation. The need to ensure the security and rights of Karabakh Armenians was also emphasized, including in the long term," said Charles Michel.
