"Improper steps give Azerbaijan a sense of impunity." RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

On October 4, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan met with Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Wojciech Gerwel in Yerevan.

Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented to the interlocutor the details of the situation created as a result of Azerbaijan's continuous aggressive and ethnic cleansing policy of Nagorno Karabakh, in particular, the assessment of the primary needs of more than 100,000 forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh and the efforts of the RA government to address them. In this context, Paruyr Hovhannisyan thanked Poland for providing support.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasized that the deliberate and actual ethnic cleansings carried out by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh are the result of inappropriate and targeted actions of international actors, which gives Azerbaijan a feeling of impunity. In this context, the imperative of using concrete mechanisms to restrain Baku's overzealous ambitions and steps to destabilize the region was highlighted.

The interlocutors also discussed several issues of the Armenian-Polish bilateral agenda, referring to the RA-EU partnership and cooperation within international organizations.
