"Peace in the South Caucasus has no alternative." Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated during the NA-government question-and-answer session.
According to him, however, we continuously see that one of the parties does not share this approach and regularly resorts to the use of force or the threat of force.
"Now, there are almost no Armenians left in Nagorno-Karabakh. This is a clear manifestation of the policy of ethnic cleansing, a reality that the whole world has seen," he said, assuring that Armenia remains committed to building peace in the South Caucasus, "That peace still has a chance to be realized. It can be based on the principles we popularized, on recognition of each other's territorial integrity of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the latest legitimate maps of the USSR."
The minister reminded that the parties have agreed on this several times.
