Deputy Minister of Justice Levon Balyan, Deputy Head of Penitentiary Service Ambakum Grigoryan, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran Askar Jalalian, and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani visited "Armavir" Penitentiary.
The parties made a tour of the Penitentiary, and the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Iran got acquainted with the detention conditions of the institution. Askar Jalalian also met with the citizens of Iran serving their sentences in Armenia to listen to their concerns and suggestions. Then, the deputy ministers of justice of the two countries, accompanied by Ambakum Grigoryan, were in the room, providing the connection between the imprisoned person and the public defender. The parties summarized the results of the visit.
