Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Sultanate of Oman were held in Muscat on October 2, under the leadership of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and Deputy Foreign Minister of Oman for Political Affairs Sheikh Khalifa Al-Haris.
During the political consultations, the parties exchanged ideas on bilateral and multilateral cooperation, emphasizing the promotion of economic cooperation between the two countries. Both sides stressed the importance of collaboration in renewable energy, information technology, artificial intelligence, healthcare, agriculture, and tourism.
Regional and security issues in the South Caucasus and the Middle East were also discussed during the consultations. Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan presented to his Omani counterpart the humanitarian crisis created due to the massive forced displacement of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh due to the Azerbaijani attack.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with the Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman, Ibtisam Ahmed Said Al-Faruji. The Armenian delegation made a familiarization visit to the "Invest Oman" exhibition hall.
