The EU ambassador to RA expressed his concern about the current situation

RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the newly appointed head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos.

Congratulating the ambassador on the occasion of the start of the diplomatic mission in Armenia, the deputy prime minister expressed confidence that both sides will make efforts during the ambassador's tenure to strengthen Armenia-EU relations further and increase the effectiveness of cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister presented to the interlocutor the primary needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the short-term and medium-term measures taken by the government to meet them. Vassilis Maragos expressed his concern about the created humanitarian situation, reaffirming the readiness of the EU to support the RA government's programs to meet the needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the ongoing cooperation in several directions under the EU economic and investment plan.
