Armen Grigoryan and Hikmet Hajiyev met

The meeting of Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and Azeri President's foreign policy advisor Hikmet Hajiyev was held in Brussels, which was also briefly joined by CE President Charles Michel. Advisors of the leaders of France and Germany took part in the meeting.

Hikmet Hajiyev presented Azerbaijan's plans to provide the local population with humanitarian assistance and security.

The EU emphasized the need for transparency and the participation of international humanitarian and human rights actors in Baku's policy regarding Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians.

Armen Grigoryan and Hikmet Hajiyev discussed concrete steps to advance the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, including border demarcation, security, communications, and humanitarian issues.

The EU is convinced that the possible meeting in Granada on October 5 should be used by Yerevan and Baku to publicly reaffirm their commitment to recognize each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty, based on the agreements reached in Prague and Brussels.
