The EU condemns Azerbaijan's military action. Josep Borell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security Affairs, said this during the urgent session of the UN Security Council on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
"We consider the loss of life as a result of this tension to be condemned. We have clearly emphasized many times that the use of force to resolve disputes is not acceptable.
The EU calls on Azerbaijan to reaffirm its unequivocal respect for the territorial integrity of Armenia and to agree to demarcation. The EU calls for the resumption of negotiations to conclude a peace agreement," Borell said.
