Baku handed over a draft peace treaty to Yerevan

Baku handed over a draft peace treaty to Yerevan. This was stated by Elchin Amirbekov, the representative of the President of Azerbaijan in charge of special assignments, in an interview with Sky News Arabia.

The representative of the President of Azerbaijan in charge of special assignments noted that the draft peace agreement between Armenia and Yerevan consists of five main points. One of the most critical points of the document is mutual respect between the two states. According to Amirbekov, both sides confirmed their loyalty to this principle.

He noted that the draft agreement "provides recognition of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries, in addition to respecting the borders between the states," and "declares the parties not to interfere in each other's internal affairs."
