"The Rome Statute has nothing to do with the events related to the Russian Federation." Grigor Minasyan

Armenian Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan stated that the Rome Statute ratification project is only aimed at increasing new international criminal law levers in the territory of Armenia and is aimed only at the state interest of Armenia.

After the government session, in a briefing with journalists, Minasyan asked: in case of ratification, should Vladimir Putin be arrested if he arrives in Armenia? "The statute allows the international criminal prosecution and judicial system to investigate the war crimes against Armenia. It's a good defensive investigative tool, and it would be a shame our state didn't take advantage of it."

Regarding the issue related to Putin, he stated that, from a legal point of view, this issue has nothing to do with the case of the Rome Statute, "From a legal point of view, the Rome Statute will be ratified; the approval of that project by the government and its acceptance by the National Assembly has nothing to do with the events related to the Russian Federation. It is the defense toolkit of Armenia."
