Gurgen Melkonyan, a member of the CP faction of the National Assembly, addressed why Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not have a telephone conversation with the Russian President when he spoke with the superpowers' leaders.
Melkonyan reminded us that Armenia has turned to its strategic ally several times and has yet to receive support. Therefore, there is no point in turning to them.
"The reason is that there has already been an escalation against our country several times, we have appealed. Neither the CSTO nor our allied state responded. It has been said that these are borderline fights. There is no point in calling them. Whenever Lavrov said something, we do not take what he said as a basis. Lavrov constantly wants to destroy our country. His plans are not pro-Armenian. "Russia has always decided our place, told us where to go," he said.
