On September 7, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who was in Abu Dhabi on an official visit.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to expanding the political dialogue between the two friendly countries, emphasizing the implementation of high-level mutual visits and effective interaction on international platforms.
The President of the UAE and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reflected on the possibilities of developing mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. They exchanged ideas on implementing joint projects in new prospective directions. Both sides expressed satisfaction with revitalizing trade and economic relations between the two countries, emphasizing the need to use the significant potential between Armenia and the UAE more effectively. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that a favorable business environment has been created for Emirati companies in Armenia.

Referring to the current security situation in the South Caucasus, Ararat Mirzoyan noted that Azerbaijan is hindering the efforts to establish lasting peace in the region with its fanatical aspirations and aggressive actions.
Minister Mirzoyan presented to the President of the UAE the complex humanitarian challenges faced by the 120,000 people of Nagorno-Karabakh and especially vulnerable groups as a result of the 9-month-long blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh, stressing that despite the two decisions of the International Court of Justice and the appeals of many international partners, Azerbaijan continues to keep it closed.
