"The CSTO washed its hands of Armenia and left here." Khandanyan

Sargis Khandanyan, the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations chairman, announced that the CSTO washed its hands and left Armenia.

At the same time, according to him, there is no process for leaving the CSTO at the same time, "CSTO has washed its hands of Armenia and left Armenia. What remains of the technical side and those processes is a subject for additional discussion. There should be a complex discussion about the right time, moment, and consequences," he said.

Referring to the prospect of replacing CSTO, he said, "How to replace the CSTO if the CSTO shows inaction towards Armenia?" We do not want to cooperate with such a mechanism that will show inactivity again."

Khandanyan also noted that Russia, as a strategic ally, has questions to which Armenia has been waiting to receive answers for a long time.

When asked whether an option to change the security system is being discussed, Khandanyan answered, "Reforms of the armed forces of Armenia and, in general, the security system must continue. In this regard, we should be open to cooperating with all those countries that will have such interests."
