If Armenia and Azerbaijan do not mutually recognize each other's territorial integrity, peace will never exist. RA President Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica.
"If there are no guarantees about the rights and security of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh in the peace agreement, that agreement will be meaningless," said the Prime Minister.
Referring to the activities of the CSTO, the Prime Minister noted that the Armenian public experienced and continues to be deeply disappointed by the CSTO's practices, and this is the reason why several agreements were not ratified during the CSTO summit held in Yerevan in the fall of 2022.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations and noted that Armenia does not and does not want to link Armenia-Turkey relations with Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. However, Azerbaijan and Turkey constantly raise the issue.
"Apparent military power does not mean invulnerability, so all countries should be interested in peace. We consider the regulation of relations with Turkey to be important, and as a result of my visit to Ankara and the contacts I had with the President of Turkey, I have the impression that the regulation of relations with Armenia is also very important for Turkey. I think there are opportunities," he said.
