NA Speaker Alen Simonyan congratulated on the day of adopting the Declaration of Independence.
"Today, we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of Armenia.
The start of the establishment of independent statehood and the following years were touchstones of struggle, overcoming crises, and a complete understanding of new realities. The Declaration is our imperative to create a legal and democratic society.
Years later, we continue the struggle to preserve our independence, to raise the voice of our democracy in the world.
At the time of its adoption, the Declaration emphasized that it is also the basis for the development of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the new legislation of the Republic.
We are still on the way to implementing this message and turning the lessons of the past into an accumulated experience; we must move forward for the sake of our statehood and our people.
Long live the Republic of Armenia, glory and honor to the fighters of the struggle for independence," said his message.
