The EU continues to be a primary partner in supporting the reform agenda in Armenia. ambassador

On August 15, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, received the head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Victorin, completing her diplomatic mission in our republic.

Alen Simonyan expressed his gratitude for the strengthening and deepening of relations with the European Union and the ambassador's significant contribution to the sustainable development of Armenia.

"Knowing you and seeing your heartfelt work for our country in establishing democratic institutions, I reaffirm our loyalty to democratic values and our willingness to spare no effort," said Alen Simonyan. He emphasized the ambassador's direct participation in the programs to support the development of the southern regions of Armenia and strengthen the resistance.

In response, Andrea Viktorin assured that the EU continues to be a primary partner supporting the reform agenda implemented by the Armenian government.

The meeting discussed the deployment of the EU observation mission in Armenia and the UN Security Council session to be held on August 16 regarding the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

At the end of the meeting, the Speaker of the RA National Assembly awarded Andrea Victorin the Medal of Honor of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia for her significant contribution to strengthening inter-parliamentary friendly ties and developing democracy.
