The issue of sending a fact-finding mission is obviously becoming urgent; RA MFA

The RA MFA stated the disinformation spread by Azerbaijan, which we present below.

"Recently, Azerbaijan has sharply intensified the spread of false and untrue information about the Republic of Armenia. The most recent example is the disinformation about the accumulation of troops and ammunition along the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border by the RA armed forces. The spread of such false information indicates Azerbaijan's intention to strain the situation in the region.

Despite repeated denials by the Republic of Armenia, Azerbaijan continues to spread the claim about the presence of the Armenian army in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is entirely untrue.

We draw the attention of the international community to the fact that the proposal of the Republic of Armenia to send a global fact-finding mission to Nagorno-Karabakh to clarify this issue has been repeatedly rejected by Azerbaijan. With Azerbaijan's continued claims, such a mission becomes more urgent.

It is also evident that one of the goals of the misinformation campaign organized by Azerbaijan is to divert the international community's attention from the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh and its steps to carry out ethnic cleansing by inciting a humanitarian disaster.

The humanitarian crisis established in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor is direct evidence of Azerbaijan's violation of the tripartite declaration of November 9, 2020. In recent years, Azerbaijan has violated almost all provisions of the trilateral world, particularly its 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, and 9th points.

As already noted by international partners, by illegally blocking the Lachin Corridor, Azerbaijan also violates the legally binding decisions of the International Court of Justice of February 22 and July 6, 2023, regarding ensuring the uninterrupted movement of persons, vehicles, and cargo in both directions through Lachin Corridor.

Azerbaijan also continues to violate many agreements reached during the negotiations. Among them, contrary to the Brussels agreement of May 14, 2023, until now, Azerbaijan has not made a clear statement about recognizing the territorial integrity of 29 thousand 800 square kilometers of the Republic of Armenia, refuses to implement the agreements reached on the resumption of the Yeraskh-Ordubad-Meghri-Horadiz railway.

Official Baku also obstructs the dialogue with Stepanakert within the framework of the international mechanism by all possible means. While illegally blocking the Lachin Corridor for 8 months, Azerbaijan also blocked the entry of 400 tons of humanitarian cargo to Nagorno-Karabakh for 3 weeks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia emphasizes that the peace agenda has no alternative in our region. We reaffirm that despite all the complications, there is a possibility of achieving long-term, stable, and lasting peace, and we call on Azerbaijan to refrain from all steps aimed at reducing that possibility. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to the peace agenda and the agreements reached during the negotiations and calls on all the actors of the international community, who are interested in establishing peace and stability in the region, to use all the instruments at their disposal to bring the Azerbaijani side to a constructive field.
