On August 11, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijártó.
Ararat Mirzoyan presented the details of the deepening humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh due to Azerbaijan's illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that since June 15, the 120,000 population of Nagorno-Karabakh has been under a complete blockade, facing an acute shortage of food, medicine, and other essential goods.
Minister Mirzoyan stressed that the resolution of the crisis requires precise assessments and steps according to the situation on the ground, as well as the coordination of the efforts of all partners, by the statement of November 9, 2020, and the decisions of the International Court of Justice on February 22 and July 6, 2023, through the Lachin corridor to restore movement in both directions.
