Today, the President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Victorin, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

The President thanked the Ambassador for further deepening and expanding cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and for the efforts invested in promoting the implementation of programs aimed at the development of Armenia, especially the southern regions, and the ongoing reforms.

"I want to thank you for the great work you have done during your four years in office. In fact, you have done a great job and your personal contribution here is great. Many projects that have started or have already become a reality are thanks to your initiatives. I am sure that the works you started will be continuous, because they have a great role and importance for the development of Armenia," President Khachaturyan said.

Ambassador Andrea Victorini thanked me for the reception and kind words. "I think that all this was possible due to joint efforts. This collaboration was good for the Armenian government, stakeholders, civil society, the European Union delegation, and our partners working there. I think that together we managed to overcome a challenging period."

The meeting discussed issues related to the Armenia-EU multilateral cooperation agenda. Reference was made to the implementation process, and recorded results of various programs were planned shortly.

Both sides emphasized the critical role of the European Union in implementing democracy, democratic institutions, the protection of human rights, and continuous reforms in Armenia.
