We expect France's support. Vladimir Vardanyan

On August 10, the head of the Armenia-France friendship group of the RA NA, the chairman of the standing committee on state-legal issues, Vladimir Vardanyan, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Armenia, Olivier Decotigny.

Congratulating the Ambassador on assuming the diplomatic mission, Vladimir Vardanyan expressed hope that dynamically developing Armenian-French relations will deepen as a result of bilateral cooperation. "You were appointed Ambassador to Armenia during the period when Armenian-French relations are on the rise. At the same time, we have foreign political challenges, which you are well aware of, and we expect France's support in facing them," said the head of the friendship group.

Ambassador Dkotini thanked me for the warm reception and assured me that he was ready to do his best to contribute to the further deepening relations between the two countries. The Ambassador highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in this matter.

Vladimir Vardanyan presented the latest developments of the Armenian-French parliamentary cooperation to the newly appointed Ambassador, thanking the French parliamentary partners for their pro-Armenian position.

During the meeting, the humanitarian crisis created in Nagorno-Karabakh and the need for the international community to take active steps in unblocking the Lachin Corridor were discussed. The parties also emphasized promoting economic relations between the two countries. Other issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
