RA MFA, about Baku's refusal to attend the meeting of representatives of Azerbaijan and Stepanakert in Bratislava

In response to Radar Armenia's inquiry, the RA Foreign Ministry referred to the official Baku's refusal without reason to attend the meeting of the representatives of Azerbaijan and Stepanakert planned in Bratislava.

"As we have mentioned many times, addressing the rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh through the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue is critical to establishing stable peace in the region. The Republic of Armenia emphasizes the necessity of forming an international mechanism for this dialogue on all platforms and supports all efforts made in that direction.

Unfortunately, official Baku refuses that dialogue and openly continues its policy of subjecting the NK people to ethnic cleansing. As a result of the illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor, the people of Nagorno-Karabakh continue to be besieged, deprived of food, medicine, fuel, and electricity, and with the minimal possibility of moving through the corridor to evacuate patients in need of medical assistance, Azerbaijan openly abducts a resident of Nagorno-Karabakh with serious health problems in the presence of the ICRC and Russian peacekeepers," said the MFA's response.

It should benoted that yesterday, the chairman of the anti-crisis council attached to the Artsakh president, Tigran Petrosyan, said Azerbaijan refused the meeting without reason.
