Armenian MP of the Swedish Parliament Arin Karapet wrote on his Facebook page:
"Today, I visited the Lachin Corridor; the situation is serious, where 400 tons of humanitarian food, medicine, and other supplies have been standing for four days due to the illegal blockade of Azerbaijan. The 120,000 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh who are waiting for this aid are at risk of starvation and poor health.
When we left the scene, we received news that a seriously ill 68-year-old man had been arrested by the Azerbaijani authorities," Karapet wrote, adding that this prevented the Red Cross from fulfilling its mission to help him.
According to him, the situation is acute and international efforts are urgently needed to restore both aid and the free movement of civilians.
"We must act immediately so that life-saving humanitarian aid reaches the vulnerable residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, and that they receive the care and support they need to survive and rebuild their lives," he said.
