Mirzoyan-Lavrov-Bayramov trilateral talks started in Moscow, preceded by Lavrov's words with Mirzoyan and Bayramov.
As reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Lavrov stated at the start of the tripartite meeting:
"Now the three of us will continue our efforts to solve the problems arising from the agreements between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia, the Prime Minister of Armenia on the settlement of the Karabakh problem, and (in a broader sense) the issues of the total compensation of relations between Baku and Yerevan.
We strive to ensure that all tripartite agreements are fully respected and implemented. Russia is vitally interested in peace and stability in the South Caucasus. With the arrangement of the parties (which, as I understand, has been confirmed), we will continue our efforts aimed at stabilizing the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, solving humanitarian problems, unblocking economic and transport links, and developing people-to-people contacts through civil society, political scientists, and parliamentarians.
Today I invite you to exchange ideas about the current stage of the peace treaty negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We are ready to help in its coordination in every possible way, using our expertise and good relations with our friends present here.
We hope to discuss all these issues in a pragmatic, constructive atmosphere," Lavrov said.
