We are grateful to you for accepting our invitation to come to Moscow to organize the next tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the Russian Federation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced during the negotiations with RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
"Now we have a good opportunity to have bilateral contacts, to exchange ideas on both Russian-Armenian relations and various regional issues. Of course, we pay special attention to the settlement of the situation around the Lachin Corridor and in Nagorno Karabakh in general. We want to help solve the acute humanitarian problems that have arisen there. For this, there are opportunities for the Russian peacekeeping contingent, but it is not easy to do without the cooperation of the parties," Lavrov said.
According to Lavrov, they are ready to contribute to the implementation of the entire range of trilateral agreements between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia and the Prime Minister of Armenia, which were reached in recent years.
"We consider it important to move forward in all ways of regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, including the unblocking of transport and economic communications, border demarcation issues, and the establishment of dialogue between public structures and experts. We are ready to help in any way. We expect special emphasis to be placed on finding solutions regarding the draft peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan. We have a number of considerations, which, I hope, will be useful," said the Russian Foreign Minister.
