The Foreign Relations Committee of the European Parliament called on Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide
The Foreign Relations Committee of the European Parliament recently adopted the "2022 Report on Turkey, which supports the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey for the benefit of reconciliation, regional stability, and security", reports the RA Mission to the EU.
The committee also calls for the speedy implementation of the agreements reached by special representatives, such as the opening of the airspace and the border between the two countries.
Members of the European Parliament once again call on Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide in order to pave the way for real reconciliation between the Armenian and Turkish peoples.
The document urges Turkey to fully fulfill its obligations related to the protection of Armenian cultural heritage.
